I am a huge fan of this series. I enjoyed getting to know Lucy from the very start when she finds out that she has abilities far greater than anyone imagined. I cheered for her in the previous books and this book is no different. Each character is well thought out and I get so caught up in the story that the chapters fly by. It's no different in this book. Lucy, her powers growing, is on the hunt and fortunately not alone. She has an interesting bunch of friends that are so different in background and abilities yet seem to work so cohesively. The author does a super job letting the story unfold at a steady space and as always just when you think things are okay - they're not. It's a story that leans to the dark but the humor throughout keeps it light. Lucy life is complicated but also fun. It was hard for me to put the book down as all the books in the series have been. Highly recommend it if you are a fan of the magical and suspenseful genre. Things are not always what they seem especially at this circus! Go Lucy!!!Product details

Hunted is book three in the Donovan Circus series by Liz Long. This is such a fantastic series. The action is non-stop, and the characters are believable. Lucy is more confident in her powers now, but she still has her insecurities, and that makes her believable. She's a wonderful, strong female lead. This is a circus setting, so there are multiple characters at any given moment, and they all have a presence and are easy to remember. This is such a unique and addictive story. I think there is something for everyone within its pages.

Medved is dead. The halcyon days should have dawned but didn't as the Lieutenant of Medved had escaped and poses an even greater threat to the survival of the remaining Donovans and Graysons. And again an enemy spy is wreaking havoc in the circus. Ugly mistrust rears its head again and it becomes really difficult to distinguish friend from for. This is why Lucy realises she will have to proactively take the war to the enemy instead of waiting passively for the enemy to attack.
This third book in the Donovan's Circus series is another crackerjack action thriller. Sure is to be expected from this author by now, not so? Enjoy! I did.

I finished Hunted in absolute awe. The world that Liz Long has created in the Donovan Circus series is constantly evolving. New people with new powers are woven into the story and just when you think that you know what to expect from a certain type of ‘Gifted’ a new twist is added to their power. That doesn’t even take into consideration that sometimes from page to page you’re wondering exactly who can and can’t be trusted. Hunted was basically a non-stop roller coaster ride of emotion.
Lucy is tested more than once in Hunted in many different ways. Her loyalty to her friends and ‘family’ is never in question, but the secret she’s keeping is putting a strain on her. Having someone to not only share that secret with but to also help her with her role as leader is a relief. A new balance of friendship is created which caused me see some characters in a whole different light.
There were times during Hunted that I wasn’t sure who would survive and not everyone did. I can’t really say a whole lot more because it would give too much away. I can tell you that Lucy losing someone wasn’t the most heartbreaking moment for me in Hunted. I shed more than one tear in this book and Liz Long rose one step higher on my ‘Evil Author’ list by the time I was finished.
Hunted doesn’t end in an actual cliff hanger but the fate of pretty much everyone is uncertain. No one was left untouched by the events that took place in this book and there are some that will definitely never be the same. The next book in this series can’t come soon enough.
This is the very definition of a page turner! There were twists that I didn't see coming and twists that I expected that never twisted. Such a fun ride seeing how this battle of good and evil unfolds!
Wonderful story line! I cannot wait for the others to come out. I would recommend this series for anyone who loves urban fantasy.
This book has so many ups and downs. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. You get so pulled into what is going on at the Donovan Circus and all the people there. I am so sad to see some people leave, but can't wait to see what happens next.
This is not a stand alone novel. Read Gifted and Burned before reading Hunted.
Thieves, traitors and chameleons oh my. Theirs a thief in the circus and Lucy has to figure out who it is before there is no trust between all the circus members. On top of that, Lucy is thrown back into the throws of war in Hunted. She's tired of being the "prey" and wants to become the hunter. She also has to protect the identity of one of their own who went undercover with the enemy and everyone at Donovan Circus believes he's a traitor. One wrong decision ends up in tragedy and sadness. If you enjoy a paranormal circus and fascinating talents with a bit of action mixed in I highly recommend Hunted.
